Welcome to the MA Accelerator, the flagship programme for senior marketers from The NZ Marketing Academy. This is a programme designed by New Zealand’s top marketers for the next generation of marketing leaders. To this end, the MA created an advisory panel of 10 of NZ’s best marketers who have helped design the programme that will help future leaders redefine what their potential can be.

The programme will take place over the course of 3 months. Each month will house a 2-day boot camp style of various workshops with industry-leading facilitators. In addition, participants will receive mentoring from current CMOs and industry leaders over three months and exclusive online training sessions between the sessions.
Places are limited and all applicants will be screened for suitability. If there is a over subscription for places then MA and a panel of CMO’s will choose successful applicants to attend the program. As GM of Data, Astrud is responsible for ensuring ANZ effectively leverages data and analytics to create real competitive advantage. Experienced Brand Management, Marketing Communications and Strategic Marketing Professional with a career that has included both agency and client side roles.
Carolyn started her career in London agencies, working on global brands including American Express, Emirates and AIG. Since emigrating to New Zealand she has worked in client side roles including her current role at Trustpower.
During her time at Trustpower the company has transformed from a predominately regional electricity retailer and generator, to the leading provider of bundled home services (energy and telco). Skilled in Marketing Communications, Brand Management, Marketing Strategy, Integrated Marketing, Advertising, Internal & External Communications, Copywriting and Management. She also has a special interest in the application of neuroscience and behavioral economics to Marketing. She has an honours degree in Biochemistry from St John's College, Oxford University and also own a local visitor attraction in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

Shane is a senior executive with 20 years' global experience leading brand, marketing, customer experience and digital transformation strategies.
His career kicked off with Australia Post in Melbourne in their graduate programme rising to product manager in the financial services group. Moving to London in 2004, he spent three years in advertising agencies which provided the opportunity to lead the global re-brand of Aviva across 28 markets, rebranding over 50 brands including Norwich Union, the UK’s largest insurer. This was quoted as the 'arguably slickest rebranding exercise in corporate history' by the Times in 2009.
For the last decade, Shane has led a team at ASB who are responsible for the strategic direction of the brand, the marketing of all products, services, segments, customer communications, digital marketing and our commitment to supporting NZ communities through our sponsorship portfolio.
He prides himself in leading teams that drive business outcomes through creativity. This has been recognised with 150+ NZ and global awards including winning the NZ & Australian Commonwealth Bank Group team of the year which all led to winning the NZ Marketer of the year in Nov 2021.

Nigel leads a talented, committed, accountable and high-performing digital team, with collaboration, innovation and digital-led customer experience design as their focus. He works closely with C-level sponsors to ensure that the digital strategy, roadmap and prioritisation approach supports Lotto NZ's strategic objectives.
Nigel is known for his collaborative approach and ability to work with multiple, diverse teams across many locations, with a continual thirst for emerging consumer and industry trends and how they evolve our digital experience strategy.
