The MA Accelerator Programme

Welcome to the MA Accelerator, the flagship programme for senior marketers from The NZ Marketing Academy. This is a programme designed by New Zealand’s top marketers for the next generation of marketing leaders. To this end, the MA created an advisory panel of 10 of NZ’s best marketers who have helped design the programme that will help future leaders redefine what their potential can be.

The programme covers:

  • Contemporary leadership and marketing issues in a New Zealand Marketing setting.
  • Mentoring from current CMOs and industry leaders
  • UC Berkeley Extension’s online Leading with an Agile Mindset to Create an Edge for the Future workshops - 4 x 2 hours. Digital badge and certificate of completion from UC Berkeley.
  • Feature presentation by Peter Wilton of Haas Business School, UC Berkeley, a world-renowned thought leader on strategic innovation, digital disruption and organisational transformation, and customer loyalty architectures.
  • Brand Strategy Simulation
  • A CEO panel on what the next ideal CMO looks like
  • Dealing with boards and ‘C suite’ – Peter Stubbs, a preeminent expert in working with boards
  • Being a future leader in NZ – discussion on biculturalism and commercialisation from an Iwi perspective.
  • What marketers don’t get about ROI. Greatest mistakes marketers make in presenting budgets - Panel of CFOs
  • From business strategy to marketing strategy – the essentials I need to understand. What I wished I knew when I was a marketer – Prominent CEO who was a CMO
  • Strategy sessions from McKinsey & Company
  • Team exercises with fellow attendees to stretch the grey matter!

The programme will take place over the course of 3 months. Each month will house a 2-day boot camp style of various workshops with industry-leading facilitators. In addition, participants will receive mentoring from current CMOs and industry leaders over three months and exclusive online training sessions between the sessions.

Places are limited and all applicants will be screened for suitability. If there is a over subscription for places then MA and a panel of CMO’s will choose successful applicants to attend the program.
