NZ Marketing Association takes NZDM Awards in new direction

September 9, Auckland – New Zealand Marketing Association (MA) announced today that the NZ Direct Marketing (NZDM) Awards will no longer be run in its existing format in 2021/2022. Instead, the MA is working with other industry players to reimagine a new and exciting Awards programme that will be on the 2022 calendar.

The reimagined Awards will be positioned so to appeal to an evolving marketing industry, and will feature key elements of contemporary marketing.

John Miles, CEO of the MA said: “We are really excited by this development as our intention is that this will be an event that all marketers across New Zealand will want to enter. New categories in line with international awards programmes, and a widened scope to embrace the changing world of marketing initiatives and MarTech projects will be key features of the new direction of the Awards.”

Discussions regarding the timing, format and scope of the Awards are ongoing as the MA engages other industry organisations and key sponsors.

“These discussion are in the advanced stages and all parties concerned are committed to bringing an exceptional awards programme to market in 2022,” said Miles.

An official announcement is expected later in the year.
