As consumers, marketing managers and business people we use Google every single day to find products and services to fulfill our needs… so do our clients and customers.
The first half of this hands-on, practical workshop will leave you buzzing with actionable SEO strategies and a greater understanding of how and why Google ranks certain websites highly.
Delivered in a clear, easy to comprehend manner, this workshop is ideal for any marketer that wants to drive organic traffic to their website or is just curious to understand what your agency is doing for you.
This course is hands-on. You will work in groups to analyse, discuss and present ideas around search, content and link acquisition. You will need a laptop and ideally a Google AdWords log-in (one per table).
The second half of this course will teach you how to convert your hard-earned website visitors into leads and sales through OPTIMISING your Conversions. Filled with tips and techniques, you will leave with the skills to make an immediate difference to the revenue and leads generated by your website.

A live session will be held each Thursday from 12:00pm - 1:30pm over four weeks. The facilitator will present that week's topic live online with other participants. There will also be activities and resources to support your learning.
You can do SEO as a two week workshop, CRO as a two week workshop or both as a four week workshop.
Richard Conway is the CEO, Director and Founder of multiple digital agencies, including Pure SEO, Digital Popcorn, This Side Up and The Conversion Surgeons. Richard has been facilitating the Marketing Association SEO Need to Know course for the past 8 years, he is also on the MA’s Digital special interest group and assists with speakers for the Digital Day Out.
Richard moved to New Zealand in 2009 with his wife Emily, they have 2 children; Ethan (12) and Amber (8). Richard was recently named as a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of The Year Awards, he is also the Communications Chair on the board of Entrepreneurs Organisation and is an investor and mentor to several high growth tech businesses.
Richard has been involved in digital marketing since 2002. His primary company, Pure SEO, which is a Google Premier Partner has received a host of awards, including IAB Gold, Best use of SEO &/or SEM (2021), The Deloitte Asia Pacific Fast 500 (7 years) and Westpac Auckland Business Awards. Richard also teaches SEO for the University of Auckland Business School MBA and his company wrote the first NZQA certified SEO course for another New Zealand university (level 7).
