Head of Digital, Lotto New Zealand
Nigel Cherrie is the Head of Digital at Lotto NZ, reporting to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Annemarie Browne. Nigel has 18 years’ experience in digital; from local govt to consulting to agencies to corporate; the last six years in insurance before switching to a new category - Lottery - in 2022.
Nigel describes his role as Leadership of strategy and Enablement of delivery but the biggest single determining factor of success in digital is ‘people and culture’; so that’s unapologetically his number one priority each day.
Nigel is also focused on creating systemised success in organisations, rather than being on the tools; the Head of Digital role is about bringing together technology, data, customer experience, retail through omni-channel, digital experience, digital marketing and brand to work together to achieve the right digital outputs that deliver on the business outcome, and in Lotto’s case, its purpose of returning profit to New Zealand.
