She did time in the parliamentary press gallery before joining MediaWorks in 2007, where she filed reports across the company’s TV news shows. She moved to London in 2016 as European correspondent for Newshub (Mediaworks' rebranded news division), covering Brexit, elections and the Grenfell Tower disaster. In May 2018 she returned to Wellington as Newshub's Political Editor and in 2022 she moved into breakfast radio on MediaWorks new channel Today FM where she has been a huge hit with the listeners. MA is thrilled to have Tova as the MC for Think Again.
Awards:
She’s a seasoned Executive Creative Director and founder of top New Zealand agency Contagion, which she sold last year. She’s led advertising businesses in New Zealand and overseas. And perhaps most remarkably, in one of the whitest and most male-dominated industries in New Zealand, she’s a Maori woman.
A globally awarded creative, Bridget has deep experience helping companies thrive both at home and around the world because of her unique perspective on business and brands.
But Bridget’s wider mission is to make a real change to New Zealand business. “Business is such a powerful tool for creating prosperity. And it can be so empowering. You don’t need to have been to university or succeeded academically at school. It’s all about grit, hard work and talent, and all of us can draw on that. After all, the global economy is increasingly unsettled. A vibrant and diverse business community is the best defence for an economy and culture.”
When Bridget’s not solving marketing and business problems, she’s talking about them. She was a regular guest panellist on the hit ABC show The Gruen Transfer, demystifying advertising. She’s also a regular panellist on the AM Show and public speaker. But her best role is raising five children.
