DDB Group NZ awarded the Spike Asia Grand Prix for their work on @vogelsnz , Goodman Fielder ‘Certified Toasters’ – the genius solution to a classic Kiwi problem.
A partnership with The Warehouse – New Zealand’s largest retailer (it’s like our Walmart), to worked out the perfect formula to toast a piece of Vogel’s for every single toaster instore and online. Each toaster was painstakingly tested by hand, to reveal each toasting combination. Creating the largest toasting time data set known to man.
Each slice was measured against the “perfect” slice, as decided by a nationwide poll. Results were published in out-of-home, digital and social, which drove Kiwis to the Warehouse’s online retail store and toaster aisles nationwide where every toaster was badged with a Certified Toasters sticker + step-by-step toast instructions.
Shoppers were also directed from the branded toaster aisle to the food, where they purchased their favourite Vogel’s bread to go with their new toasters, - at last no guesswork, just crispy, golden Vogel’s every time.
