The Marketing Association (MA) has 4 individual membership types on offer:

Individual Membership

Individual Professional Membership

This membership is for working professionals who live within Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. We do recommend joining as a company membership if there are a few marketers within the company, so that you can all enjoy the benefits of belonging to the MA community and all receive the discounts members are able to enjoy.

However, if it's just you and maybe one other marketer, then an individual membership is the way to go. You can enjoy the following benefits as an individual member of the MA:

  • Free networking events so you can meet like-minded marketers and be part of the marketing community 
  • You'll be able to attend our fantastic events and workshops at member-rates (usually $300 cheaper than non-member rate)
  • Access to world-class, leading edge resources, with some being available only to members
  • You'll have the option to become Professionally Certified through our NZ Marketing Academy, gaining a micro-credential from the University of Canterbury

Regional Membership

Regional Professional Membership

Our Regional Membership is available for anyone living 50kms outside of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch. 

We want to offer you a regional individual membership at 50% off the standard individual membership.
$292.50 +GST per annum, or just $24.40 per month +GST.

*There is a one-off $40 +GST sign-up admin fee for all new memberships. We can only approve a maximum of 4 Regional Individual memberships per company per annum.

With this membership, you receive all of the same membership benefits as any other membership. This includes:

  • Invites to free networking events so you can feel part of the marketing community and be inspired by each other
  • Access to all our member-only content on our Resource Hub
  • Member rates to all events and workshops including live-streamed options
  • An option to become Professionally Certified through our NZ Marketing Academy - all our workshops are available online

Graduate Individual Membership

If you have just graduated, or have 3 years or less marketing experience, then you qualify for our Graduate Individual Membership. 

With this membership you will receive all the below benefits: 

  • Free networking events so you can meet like-minded marketers and be part of the marketing community 
  • You'll be able to attend our fantastic events and workshops at member-rates (usually $300 cheaper than non-member rate)
  • Access to world-class, leading edge resources, with some being available only to members
  • You'll have the option to become Professionally Certified through our NZ Marketing Academy, gaining a micro-credential from the University of Canterbury

We want to offer you a graduate membership at 50% off the standard individual membership.
$292.50 +GST per annum, or just $24.40 per month +GST by credit card.

Student membership

Student Membership

MA's Complimentary Student Membership is for anyone currently studying marketing full-time. And it's completely FREE! 

As a Student Member, you can:

  • Attend networking events, webinars and Sunrise Sessions for free
  • Enjoy special Student-Only events
  • Meet people in the industry
  • Opportunities for discounted Brainy Breakfast tickets where applicable
  • Apply to become an MA Student Ambassador and experience one of MA’s world-class conferences in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch
  • Apply to become a 'Student Representative' on one of MA's Special Interest Groups or Committees.
  • Apply for the Top Talent programme (run in partnership with Auckland University)
  • Take part in the annual Marketing Disrupt Student Challenge (run in partnership with Canterbury University)
