The first half of this hands-on, practical workshop will leave you buzzing with actionable SEO strategies and a greater understanding of how and why Google ranks certain websites highly.

Delivered in a clear, easy to comprehend manner, this workshop is ideal for any marketer that wants to drive organic traffic to their website or is just curious to understand what your agency is doing for you.

Things that will be covered:

  • The basics, what is SEO and how does it work?
  • The anatomy of a page. Best practice examples of what, how and why elements of your webpage are so important.
  • Keyword research. A practical guide to finding your top keywords and using them to implement a search and content strategy.
  • Mobile search – what does it mean to be in a mobile-first world.
  • Off page SEO. How to get valuable links to give you a competitive advantage.
  • Latest developments in search, what has changed in the past 12 months.
  • Real data and statistics from New Zealand and Australia and examples of what is working in the UK and USA.
  • The future of search; voice, AI and more.

This course is hands-on. You will work in groups to analyse, discuss and present ideas around search, content and link acquisition. You will need a laptop and ideally a Google AdWords log-in (one per table).

OPTIMISE - CONVERT

The second half of this course will teach you how to convert your hard-earned website visitors into leads and sales through OPTIMISING your Conversions. Filled with tips and techniques, you will leave with the skills to make an immediate difference to the revenue and leads generated by your website.

You can do SEO as a 1/2 day workshop, CRO as a 1/2 day workshop or both as a full-day workshop

Online Course structure
A live session will be held once each week over 4 weeks. The facilitator will present that week's topic live online with other participants. There will also be activities and resources to support your learning.
