“This is a time of head-snapping change and everywhere you look there is disruption and upheaval. But very few things have changed as much as marketing has – e.g. digital, search, social, content marketing, mobile, Ai, marketing automation, data visualisation, the cloud, in bound, analytics etc, etc etc. That’s a lot of change. But underneath all this change, one thing has, unfortunately, stayed the same. And it might be the number one obstacle to great marketing in most companies.
This obstacle is preventing you from doing great things. It’s befuddling your best strategies, watering down your strongest brews and spoiling your most brilliant executions. I think you know what I’m talking about – your Stakeholders! They’re ruining your marketing. Everybody understands this but it just keeps happening.”

-Doug Kessler, Velocity Partners, UK.
____________________________

Doug Kessler nailed it. Stakeholders can make or break even the best marketing strategy, and most marketers are never actually taught how to manage them.

This workshop fixes that. You'll get the theory (including Mendelow's matrix, one of the sharpest tools for mapping stakeholder power and interest), then put it into practice by identifying who your key stakeholders actually are and building a plan to manage them well.

Across the day you'll work through both internal and external stakeholders, factor in cultural considerations, and hear real "traps for young players" from some of New Zealand's leading marketers on how they navigate this part of the job.

You'll leave with a practical stakeholder management plan you can apply straight away, plus the confidence to sell in your marketing strategy and get genuine buy in across your organisation.

Facilitated by Tony Gardner, Managing Director of Archetype, who brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience across New Zealand and APAC to help you lead stakeholders in a more authentic, influential way.

Online Course Format
This workshop is also offered online. A 90 minute live session runs once a week over 4 weeks, with Tony presenting that week's topic live alongside other participants. Activities and resources are included to support your learning between sessions.

Tony was awesome! I found him to be a very engaging facilitator that had a deep understanding of stakeholder management - demonstrated by the relevant examples and context around the tools and ideas he shared with us. It definitely provoked a lot of self-reflection and I'm really keen to use the tools that were shared, in my role moving forward.
