Amazon doesn’t run a marketplace here - but its impact on New Zealand’s consumers and marketers is far from distant.

Kiwis stream Amazon Prime Video, listen on Audible, watch Twitch, engage with Fire TV and increasingly shop via Amazon.com.au. Behind all of this sits Amazon’s vast identity graph, retail intent signals, and one of the most advanced advertising systems in the world.

In this session, we’ll unpack the Amazon ecosystem and show how it drives full-funnel growth globally: content, devices, streaming, browsing, purchase behaviour, and closed-loop attribution. We’ll then translate this into the New Zealand context — where Amazon’s data and media products (including the Amazon DSP) can be leveraged by local brands today, even without a domestic marketplace.

Drawing on real insights from our work with ZIWI and other international brands, we’ll explore opportunities for NZ marketers to adopt a more sophisticated, data-rich approach to retail media. You’ll learn how to bring retail signals into your planning, how to access high-intent audiences across Australia, and how to prepare for the rapid development of retail media networks here at home.
