How Marketing Earns the Right to Lead AI
An evening of honest discussion, not hype.
Join fellow marketers for an evening of honest discussion, not hype.
Every marketer is being told to “do more with AI.” Fewer are being told what happens when you point AI at decisions that were already shaky to begin with.
This month's Marketing Meetup is about the harder, more useful conversation: what it actually takes for marketing to earn the right to lead AI in your organisation and not just use it.
We'll open with a short discussion to set up the topic, then break into groups to get into it properly. Expect real talk, not a highlight reel of case studies. Bring your own experiences — the good, the messy, and the “we probably shouldn't have done that.”
What we'll cover:
-
Earning the right to lead - what makes marketing the function trusted with AI projects, not just the function using it
-
The unglamorous groundwork - data, governance, shared standards, and why they decide whether AI compounds your results or your problems
-
Beyond hype - telling genuine capability-building apart from quick wins that look good in a slide and fall apart in a quarter
Whether you're leading AI adoption in your team, quietly experimenting on the side, or still trying to figure out where to start, you'll leave with sharper questions to take back to your team — and a room full of people wrestling with the same thing.
This isn’t a sit-back-and-listen evening.
There will be a short framing discussion, followed by small-group conversation and open Q&A. Drinks and nibbles are provided.
