What is Going On in Ōtautahi?

Thanks to Paddy  Gower it’s no longer a secret that Christchurch is “New Zealand’s best city by far”.  The city is facing strong growth while other cities across New Zealand face stagnation or decline. But why is Christchurch thriving and what does it mean for marketers? 

In this presentation Carl Davidson will draw from the long running Te Mauri O Ōtautahi (‘The Pulse of Christchurch’) research programme to look at what is driving Christchurch’s growth, who is benefiting, and who is missing out. He’ll look at the trends to speculate on what this might mean for the future of both the city and New Zealand as a whole. 

We’re hosting this event at the recently opened Ninja Valley playground, and inviting guests to try out the the high ropes, climbing towers & walls, ninja courses, zipline, dodgeball, trampolines, massive slides, huge playgrounds with ball pits, merry-go-round, high roller and much more... it’s a time for marketers to learn and play!

With active entertainment for ninjas of all ages, sizes and abilities. Put down those devices, gather your clan and challenge other marketing ninjas across the massive Ninja Arena with 35+ physical activities & thrills.

Off the Clock networking events are organised and hosted by the MA’s Southern Committee.

Carl has worked in the insights industry for over 30 years and is currently the Head of Insights at The Curiosity Company. He is the author or editor of ten books about research and evidence, writes a regular insights column for NZ Marketing Magazine, and moonlights as a Senior Adjunct Fellow in the University of Canterbury's Business School.
