The Central Committee is the voice of marketers and local 'champions' for the Marketing Association in the Central region, acting as a conduit for marketing services and educational activities that meet today's business needs.

Hazel has established a strong career within the hospitality industry, joining Motive Group / Village Accommodation Group at the end of 2019 as Chief Commercial Director, managing all operations and strategy across the 7 properties within the portfolio. Prior to joining, Hazel worked in senior management roles within hospitality in the UK and Ireland, with her previous role being Director of Marketing & eCommerce Australia/New Zealand at Grand Chancellor Hotels.
She has knowledge in a diverse range of hospitality systems and processes, from ecommerce, data integration, revenue, sales, loyalty, brand management and is also a Chartered Marketer through the Marketing Association NZ.
Senior Marketing Manager
A Senior Marketing Manager, Darryn has close to 18 years’ experience within the Wellington marketing industry.
Starting his career at Wellington Rugby as their Commercial Executive and then Membership Manager, he moved across to ANZ in 2008.
Since joining ANZ, he's led the Acquisition, Wealth and Insurance portfolios before accepting the role as ANZ Brand lead. Most recently he's been leading ANZ’s paid media strategy both internally and with PHD New Zealand and Analytic Partners as Senior Marketing Manager (Media).
When Darryn is not at work, he's either running in the hills around Wellington or running around after two young boys at home in Greytown.

Mike is a senior marketer with over 35 years, gaining his experience and skills working for organisations such as Coca-Cola, Caltex, Foodstuffs and many more.
In 2011, Mike started @consult - an agency specialising in Marketing Strategy, Branding and Channel Tactics, providing seasoned resources to help develop strategy, execute marketing plans and business growth.
Earlier in his career Mike was the recipient of the Cornell University Executive Marketing scholarship. 2012 qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM). And in 2021 he become Professional Certified Strategic Marketer.
He rates Wellington as the best city in NZ and NZ the best country in the world. And is passionate about all things marketing and supporting business with good marketing that is planned and purposeful.

John is passionate about lifting the status of marketing in New Zealand business. "NZ Business would benefit from having more professional marketers on boards as we are trained to look forward in a strategic manner and creatively problem solve. To do this we need to introduce new standards for marketers in NZ and entice more young marketers to be involved in our marketing family. As an organisation, our focus is members first, last and always and we want to innovate with new programs and products in 2020 and beyond."
