Alex is the Co-Founder of D3, New Zealand’s most innovative independent media agency, and a specialist in digital strategy, performance media and data-driven marketing. With over 25 years’ experience across the UK, US, Australian and New Zealand markets, he has long been an advocate for transparency and advanced digital capability.
Alex leads D3’s work with clients operating across Australia, the UK and the US — including brands navigating cross-border commerce and international retail media ecosystems such as Amazon. He also serves as Chair of Independent Media Agencies New Zealand (IMANZ), representing the country’s independent media sector.
Richard Thompson

Richard is the Co-Founder of D3 and brings over two decades of experience in media strategy, integrated planning and commercial leadership. He has helped guide brands through the shift towards more accountable, data-driven media, and plays a central role in D3’s expansion across categories and markets.
Richard’s focus is on strengthening marketing performance systems for brands operating in complex environments — including those looking to unlock international opportunities such as Amazon.com.au and Amazon DSP.
