Welcome to Top Talent Marketing School, a bootcamp style initiative for top marketing students from the University of Auckland.

We have partnered with the University of Auckland Business School to create the Top Talent Marketing School! These tailored bootcamps give high-performing students an opportunity to upgrade their marketing skills by attending two advanced marketing bootcamps, and gain valuable work experience by being sponsored by one of New Zealand’s top companies.

Overview

These 2-day bootcamps will run in September and November. We have done our best to align these with University of Auckland breaks.

Thursday 10th September
Morning: How to Thrive in a Team
Afternoon: AI Meets Marketing

Friday 11th September
Morning: Essentials of Effective Briefing
Afternoon: TBA


Monday 16th November
Full Day: Critical Thinking for Marketers

Tuesday 17th November
Full Day: AI-Powered Storytelling


Networking Event
Students and sponsors will mingle and get to know each other at the Top Talent networking event. This will take place on Thursday, 10 September from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Marketing Association.

Work Experience
All students will spend at least a week with their sponsoring company gaining valuable work experience and industry contacts.

Sponsor Responsibilities

  • Each sponsor must attend the Top Talent Networking Event on the evening of Thursday, 10 September. If you cannot attend, you must send a representative from your company in your place. 
  • Each sponsor must provide work experience to their students for a minimum of 1 week. This work experience can be longer, if both student and sponsor agree.

Ready to apply?

Make sure you meet the below eligibility criteria to ensure your application is considered:

  • You are available for all four bootcamp dates and the Networking Event on September 10th; and

  • You are a current student at The University of Auckland or Auckland University of Technology; and

  • You are in the process of completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing or a relevant field; and

  • If completing a Bachelor's degree, you will have either completed or will be in the process of completing your fourth semester of study (ie. at least 2 years into your degree); and

  • You are a current student member of the Marketing Association. If not, click here to become a member (it's free for all full-time students!).
