Running a promotion? You’ll need T’s and C’s!

Members regularly ask our advice-line consultant Keith Norris for help with terms and conditions for their upcoming sales promotion. Every promotion is different in detail, but the Fair Trading Act require you to provide entrants with a complete list of the do’s and don’ts.

Some of the requirements of promotion T’s and C’s are obvious….like, “what’s the prize”? but did you know you must also tell entrants the value of that prize. You also have to give full details of the promotion dates and how the winners will be selected/drawn etc.
