An Online Accreditation is a way to have your professional development formally recognised by the NZ Marketing Association. Once you complete four core online workshops within your chosen Accreditation stream, you’ll earn your Online Accreditation.

There are four Online Accreditations available:

• Core Skills Marketer

   

• Digital Marketer

   

• Strategic Marketer

   

• AI Marketer

To earn your Online Accreditation, you need to complete the four core online workshops included in your chosen Accreditation stream.

Once you purchase your Accreditation, you’ll have one year to complete it. For example, if you purchase in May, you will have until the end of May the following year to complete your four workshops.

In cases where the MA has to cancel or reschedule workshops and this impacts your ability to complete workshops within the allotted time period, we can provide some flexibility.

Choose the Accreditation you’d like to complete, click ‘Add to Cart’, and follow the checkout process to confirm your enrolment. After purchase, you’ll receive a guide explaining how to book your workshops.

Your Accreditation will appear on the 'Training Hub' tab of your MA Dashboard after your purchase alongside a progress bar.

You can track your individual workshop bookings on your 'My Tickets' tab.

Online Accreditations are for marketers (or similar) who want to build their skills, stay current with emerging trends and best practice, and gain formal recognition from the NZ Marketing Association for their professional learning.

No. You can complete the four workshops in your Online Accreditation in any order, but you may be constrained by the scheduled workshop dates and your own availability.

Yes. You can pay by card or request an invoice at checkout.

If you would like your employer to pay, please make sure you have approval from them before purchasing. As outlined in our Training Hub Terms and Conditions, the purchaser remains liable for any fees due if their employer does not make payment.

Yes, in most cases, workshops you’ve already completed may be able to count toward your Online Accreditation.

However, the time you have left to complete the Accreditation will be based on the date of the previously completed workshop, not the date you purchase the Accreditation.

For example, if you enrol in the Digital Marketer Online Accreditation and have already completed Digital Strategy three months earlier, your one-year completion period will be measured from the month of your Digital Strategy workshop.

Therefore, any workshops completed more than a year ago would likely not be able to count towards your Accreditation.

In some cases, we may also be able to deduct the cost of previously completed workshops from the Accreditation purchase price. Please email us at educate@marketing.org.nz if you’d like to discuss your options.

Online Accreditation workshops are delivered live via Microsoft Teams. They are not self-paced courses.

We record all online workshop sessions for internal records, and recordings may be provided in cases where you are unexpectedly unable to attend a session. However, recording access is limited per attendee, and live attendance is expected.

We recommend only registering for workshop dates you expect to be able to attend in full.

If you are unexpectedly unable to attend a session, we may be able to provide a recording on request. However, watching a recording does not contribute to completion in the same way as live attendance, and missing sessions may impact whether the workshop can be marked as completed toward your Online Accreditation.

No. Both members and non-members can enrol in an Online Accreditation.

However, MA Members receive a lower rate. The member price works out to $437.50 + GST per workshop, while the non-member rate is $687.50 + GST per workshop.

Yes, in theory, you can book the workshops individually instead of purchasing the full Online Accreditation upfront.

However, this is more expensive, as you will pay regular price per workshop. Booking four online workshops individually at the member rate would cost $2,380 + GST, while purchasing an Online Accreditation at the member rate costs $1,750 + GST. 

The member price of $1,750 + GST works out to a 25% discount compared with booking the four workshops individually. This essentially makes one of the four workshops free. That means the bulk Accreditation purchase offers a significant saving.
