Tell us a bit about your background – what your studies are, where you’re from, and how you ended up in New Zealand?
I’m originally from Denmark, where I studied both my Bachelor’s and Maester degree in Food and consumer behaviour. I came to New Zealand as me and my partner had long wanted to move abroad, and NZ seemed like the best fit. We ended in Auckland because my partner got a job here.

What’s your role in the Learning & Development department?
I’m the product specialist in the L&D department. I handle all customer questions, workshops both in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Online and on top of that also coordinate with our many talented facilitators.

What do you like most about your role? And do you feel you’re contributing to enhancing people’s careers?
I really enjoy getting to meet so many different people at the workshops. It’s super interesting getting to hear about the different projects being worked around the country.

We run some really amazing workshops here at the MA with some epic facilitators. I love knowing that I’m in a role that helps people become the best marketers they can be. We’ve introduced a few new workshops this year so that we keep innovating and keeping up with moving trends in the industry. I’m excited to see what the rest of 2024 brings!

What are you most looking forward to this year in regard to the progression of marketing and what L&D can offer?
I’m really looking forward to bringing more workshops to Christchurch and Wellington this year and strengthening the relationships with our members there. It’s very important for us at the MA, to create a strong community of marketers across the country, by supporting their professional growth and strengthening their networks.

Tell us what you like doing in your spare time?
I love spending time reading a good book or knitting. When not doing those things I love spending time with my friends, partner and family.
